The noodles tasted fresh and the overall presentation was great. My only real complaint is the location is space and the music seemed to carry, making it hard to have a conversation as part of a group.
I like DOMU but, honestly, DOMU is probably not the best place for a date. Only because the tables in the dining room are so close together and small. It's impossible not to hear the next tables' conversations and a little too intimate for dining next to a stranger. Now, their food is pretty good! DOMU is one of the very few ramen places that take the time to make their own noodles and their broths are flavorful. Their portions are on the larger side and I can never finish my bowl of ramen. I tend to stick with the traditional and ever so popular tonkatsu when I go to ramen places because you can tell a lot about a ramen place by their tonkatsu. I love the tonkatsu at DOMU. The last time we were there, we ordered the Richie Rich and the Curry in medium. Both were delicious and the medium wasn't that spicy for a medium. We also had the DOMU wings in the seasonal flavor (yuzu citrus pepper) which was pretty good. The service is okay. The server we had the last we were here seemed a little preoccupied and it took a long time for the food to arrive. When it finally arrived to the table, there was a little mishap with my bowl where the noodles were a little undercooked and clumpy. When I shared this with the server, he immediately took it away and had another bowl made correctly... unfortunately, that also took a while and the other person I was with finished their bowl by the time I even received my corrected meal.Overall, it's a pretty good ramen place... not a good date place though. Maybe get take-out?
We went to Domu for brunch. We were quickly seated, and we scanned the QR code for the menu.I like that they had water on the table and brought out a little bowl with warm wet towels to clean your hands. We ordered the Tuna Don, which was tasty, and the vegetables in it were a great choice. The tuna was fresh, and the rice was cooked perfectly. We also ordered the Domu wing bites bowl but substituted the chicken for tofu. It had scallions and pickled cabbage with half a hard-boiled egg. I chose the kimchi butter sauce; all the flavors came together perfectly! I recommend both dishes. My food came out 10 minutes after the Tuna Don, and since I had to wait, the waiter automatically took it off my bill, which was a pleasant surprise. I can't wait to go back and try out more stuff on the menu!
Food was amazing !!! You have to get the DOMU wings! Love the atmosphere and vibe of the restaurant. Between 5-7 they are extremely busy , takes 20 min to be sat which is understandable and my waitress did for get some things but she was so sweet ! So go right at 5pm when they open or after 6pm.Food: 5/5
The food was tasty. The broth was just right. The meat could be sliced thinner than what they are. I ate there for dinner and it was a bit loud. Did not realize that it was a bar at the same time.Food: 4/5
