Very best Philly Steak Sandwich! Son-in-law's sandwich was ginormous! Daughter had hers in a lettuce wrap. The lettuce was very crispy and didn't disappoint! First time going there, Son-in-Law will likely make this a place he frequents when in the area! Place was clean. Small area to sit inside, or nice picnic tables outside to use.Parking: Easy in and out. Establishment close to parking.Dietary restrictions: If bread is not your thing, they do lettuce wraps.
If you're looking for quality customer service, I recommend avoiding this place. I ordered from Uber Eats for the first time and chose their vegan Philly specifically because of the vegan provolone. Unfortunately, my other option featured yellow vegan cheese. I ended up spending over $30 for two sandwiches, not including fries or a drink. The manager informed me that she didn't have time to let me know there was no vegan cheese available and instead put real parmesan cheese on my truffle fries. The young cashier was quite unprofessional as well. When I asked if they could remake my sandwich with the cheese when it's back in stock next week, like most restaurants would, she said no. There was a complete lack of empathy and concern for customers; they seem to prioritize making money over how their food looks. I won't be returning. Overall, I felt it was a rip-off!
I’ve tried all the well-known Philly cheesesteak places, and I feel lucky to have found this restaurant in Jacksonville. They really nailed the bread, which I believe is the most challenging part to get right outside of the Northeast. The service was good, and the cheese whiz was on point and cooked perfectly. My only complaint is that I felt my sandwiches could have had a bit more meat to fully capture the authentic Philly experience, but that might just be my hunger talking!
I visited this restaurant for the first time recently, and I have to say, I was a bit disappointed that there was no indoor seating available. I went on a Saturday just 15 minutes after they opened, and there was only one person cooking while another handled fries, order assembly, and the cash register. As a result, the wait time was quite long. I ordered the cheesesteak hoagie with fries, and while it was tasty, I thought the meat could have used a bit more seasoning. Despite that, I would definitely consider returning!
