Mateo's - Jacksonville

This place is hidden very well, but has an amazing atmosphere in a brewery that has all types of house beers. My wife and I ordered a pizza and a burger with swiss cheese bacon and spinach. We split both items, and really enjoyed both of them. The burger was really good, the bacon was thick but got overcooked somehow. The pizza was better than anywhere elses in this area, New York style. Yummy crispy fluffy crust, perfect amount of sauce and cheese. Well balanced all together, I was a big fan! Next time I'll be sure to get a table inside!

Truly a hidden jem I have come here a many times and am excited every time new dishes are added. They are always happy to help and make you feel welcome. If you want a local beer and some of the best bar food to go with it come here.

Traveling through JAX for the weekend. We came in for some Bold City beer (yum). But, my goodness, Mateos, this small operation, served up some of best scratch pizza I?ve had. Anywhere. Just hella good.

This is by far one of my favorite places to eat in Jax. My husband and I often talk about how delicious the food is. I almost always order the pizza because of how good it is, but his burgers, cheesesteaks and grilled cheese are amazing too! Honestly you won?t regret whatever you get.
