This place is good for ALL ages and even handicapped accessible. That was important to us as we had a few wheelchairs in our group. The staff was so fun and accommodating and the service was tops. Ample parking and a gorgeous outdoor patio space made this the ideal and ONLY location for us and our festivities. As someone who grew up local in JP, we never considered a snooty downtown or harbor spot. Bella Luna is a gem of our local spots.
This place is great and has something for everyone! The food is amazing try the Brewery burger) and the drink menu it's also great! To add to this, the service is always friendly and fast and the atmosphere is awesome!
A great place and great music venue!! Put it in your itinerary when traveling to Jamaica Plain!
This was my favorite restaurant years ago at the old location. I'm happy to say the food is still excellent. It's a little more expensive, but the unique atmosphere is still there. I didn't bother with the host. I was by myself so just went straight to the bar, but he was still quick to ask if he could help. The bar tender was awesome!!! Quick on the service. She didn't disappear because I wasn't drinking and was quick to help me with all my annoying little requests and still smiled the whole time. Bella Luna is still the go to and still where I send people if they ask for recommendations. If you wanna relax, have good food and drinks, and try something different Bella Luna is your spot!
So they bought the bowling ally in the basement! Wow well I thought when I lived in JP that was just about the coolest thing rather than make it storage. The downstairs was awesome as they split the room and kept a few of the lanes. Jump to current times... they were getting squeezed out of a continuing trend when plans were made to shut down HiLow and install a mini Hole Foods. They could have closed shop but wait they moved almost out of JP into the old Sam Adams Brewery! What Sam Adams isn't made in Boston you say? Well no it isn't, Anheiser Busch bought that decades ago. So why not open a restaurant in the middle of an old neighborhood? Well why not, the neighbors are cool enough to allow live music and the food has always been great. The staff is excellent and the service and sound system top notch.
