This is a nice little spot, but it can be a hit or miss. Sometimes the empanadas and buñuelos are fresh, while at other times they’re hard or stale. The roscon and pan de queso could use more filling—it's quite disappointing to cut into them and find mostly dry bread. The staff is very friendly, but the cash-only policy is a big drawback. It’s 2021! We’re moving towards digital payments, yet this place still doesn’t accept credit or debit cards. Their only advantage is being the only Colombian restaurant in the area, so I really hope they modernize soon!
I enjoyed the plantains with guacamole, and they were absolutely delicious! The guacamole was freshly made, and you could really tell. They offer a tasty bread called 'pan de bono,' which is the best I've ever had from any Colombian bakery. What I appreciate most is the freshness of the food. The service was excellent, and I can't wait to return!
The only good thing that came from our misfortune of tire issues coupled with the need to go to Mavis for a new tire, is the discovery of Chiqui Cafe. We ordered a bandeja chiqui cafe, an arepa con queso and some empanadas. Portions were large and everything tasted good. Would recommend to anyone looking for a Colombian cafe.
Nice cozy small place with friendly and beautiful waitresses. They only accept cash. It felt as if I was back in Colombia eating with the locals. Have their Arepa con queso and a chorizo.
