Have visited & eaten here many times and can safely hold my hand on my heart and say I've never been disappointed! Excellent quality, home style French cooking. Awesome atmosphere & Fred, his family & staff always go the extra mile to make you feel welcome!Fantastic value for money! Highly recommend a visit!

Living in the area many times I have visited this bar/restaurant. Fred the owner and chef knows his customers and his kitchen. He's very welcoming and he teaches his staff very well. You sit at large tables with other people which leads to interesting stories. His cuisine is homely and there's a choice of 2 starters and 2 mains and a variety of desserts all served with a smile. If you want to taste real France you must eat there and go with the flow. Don't expect fancy table linen it's not there. He has many returning guests for lunch and that will say it all.Fred is very flexible as well I must say and he has a great experience in different classes of trades. We all love Fred!

If you want to sit with French workmen having their lunch and drink up the atmosphere then this is the place. "Fred" the owner/chef/waiter is fab, everyone gets a great welcome and is very attentive. The menu is whatever they have cooked, a choice of salads, charcuterie and the day we were there a really good fish soup with croutons and cheese. For mains a choice of cote du porc or roti du porc with braised endive and home cooked frites! Basic but well cooked and seasoned. Great cheese plate handed round, lovely bread, a good pichet of red then a selection of the classics, flan, mousse au chocolate etc all very well done. Be ready to share a table and hand round the chess board or stand at the "Zinc" for drink or coffee. This isn't fine dining but well cooked food with a great ambience.
