I decided to grab a coffee and saw that the special of the day was a turkey salad sandwich with the option of fries or salad. The coffee was piping hot, the server was skilled and incredibly friendly, the sandwich was delicious, and the fries were some of the best I've ever had. They were hot, crispy, yet light and fluffy on the inside. The price was also very reasonable. I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality and attention to detail, and I will definitely be returning.
After spending a few hours at the hot springs, we stopped for lunch at this restaurant. The service was friendly and prompt. The food was quite good, especially the two burgers we ordered which were exceptionally tasty. The chocolate milkshake was delicious, as was the homemade soup. The poutine served as a side dish with my burger was a generous portion and incredibly tasty. The meal was even more enjoyable with a beautiful view of 20 cm of snow on the pine trees and mountains.
The store is crippled with tourist stuff, it seemed clean and well maintained. In fact, these qualities reminded us that we were hungry, so we sat and had the usual breakfast stuff eggs, potatoes, toast, pork parts, coffee and the unusual real milk...Sheik for dessert! The hot springs are wonderful, the street has stunning stops and views. Bears are sometimes very close, by the way, but a restaurant with ashes and good chow? We ate and had the cops. It's diner quality with a little upgrade: staff, food and choice were above average and made love;y trip even better. If we had stopped, we'd have been testing dinner. And we were surprised to be so happy.
This cozy, warm Greek owned restaurant is conveniently located next to the Miette Hot Springs, down the road from Pocahontas Campground, Jasper National Park. The waitress was prompt if not a little abrupt. The food was excellent and portions were generous. This was an indulgence...for sure but it was well worth it. A small shelved area near the door also had convenience items for sale..sardines were much appreciated for lunch another day!
