Overlander Mountain Lodge - Jasper

Our family of four enjoyed the breakfast buffet at the Stone Peak restaurant before heading to the airport. The place was quiet and cozy, unlike those typical busy buffet places. On one side we had the full view of the Jasper mountains and on the other neatly arranged pastry, bread, cheese and cold-cuts, cold and hot cereal, fresh fruits and juice and so on. The cinnamon swirl, applewood smoked bacon, farm sausages and breakfast potatoes were perfect! The chef didn't put out lots of food all at one but kept adding fresh ones and as a result everything tasted so good! There was only one waiter that morning and he was very attentive and efficient. Everyone filled up for the long trip home while saying good-bye to the beautiful Rocky Mountains around us. It was a perfect way to conclude our trip.

The restaurant offers a very relaxing atmosphere, with stunning views, excellent wine selection, and delightful food. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Due to its popularity, it is recommended to make a reservation in advance.

This was definitely the best breakfast buffets we had on out alberta trip, the food was excellent and they served a variety of foods. I would eat here again if we returned!beautiful views as well

A great place to get away from it all... literally. The location of this lodge wasn't the greatest for visiting jasper. It was very out of the way. We were just looking for a cheap alternative and this was the cheapest we could find... which wasn't that cheap. Hinton had lots of cheaper places and restaurants and stores and was only twenty minutes away. This place would have probably been very romantic for a couple but as a family wasn't ideal. Too expensive. No televisions and the internet didn't work unless in the main lodge. As a romantic getaway I'd recommend it. Otherwise, not.
