Cedar Tree Restaurant - Jasper

We were nearby and saw this pop on Google and decided to try it. It was wonderful. So wonderfully we went back two days in a row. The food was fresh and they change entrées and sides every day. We were there for lunch and it's big enough that even if they have many people, it doesn't feel crowded. The fried pork and the fried chicken were excellent. But the cakes are the stars. Best cake ever! It is a nice place, super clean with great service.

We arrived after 8:00 on Sunday, so we didn't expect much. Almost no customers at this time. Despite the closure at 9 a.m., the buffet was still full and was refreshed until the departure on the right. Our server JoAnn was top-notch, and quite everything I had was solid food for the price. Soup (2 types), salad bar with many options, a range of hot main and secondary dishes available. I had pork chops, catfish, grilled fish, broccoli cheese rice casserole, sweet potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce. Many dessert options, too many for 1 meal! Pecan pie, coconut cream pie, bread pudding, and soft serve vanilla ice cream. We were even offered for our scraps for our service dog in the truck, and to go more iced tea. Everything in everything? Solid home kitchen, sweet and clean atmosphere, great, personable service and real value for money on Sunday evening buffet. We need to visit the fish buffet Fri or Sat!

You have the best buffet. Fried fish, roasted pork, roasted chicken, salads. Everything delicious and always hot and fresh.

My husband and I were on holiday and were here on the basis of the reviews. I had no intention of eating the buffet, as I usually prefer to order from a menu. But look and I changed my mind! The food looked so fresh with a variety of choices, including home cooked vegetables, and I was sold. It tasted as good as it looked. It was also cheap. It wasn't just the food that was good. The staff was so friendly and the service was great! We both said we'd eat here all the time if we live close. We will definitely eat it to a point here when we are close to the area!

Best place I know of to go out to eat. I live in Louisiana. I drive 100 miles once a week so I can get a good cooked meal at a good price. The waitress there are kind and they serve you well. Out of all the places I've ate at in my 60 years of life. This has to be the best and the most that makes you feel at home all at a good price !
