Obviously we have our favorites! There wings-crispy ! They are whole wings huge wings! So they do have adelmoniico steak sandwich that we love! So they sold the business, unfortunately one of the owners has cancer! So to nite was our first try at the new owners! Nothing changed ! Awesome! So happy!
Let me start my review with this: The bar/restaurant is definitely a hole in the wall kind of place. It's been here as long as I've lived in the area, and I've driven by it countless times (parking lot is always buzzing), but didn't decide to stop by until quarantine 2020 hit. We're not big drinkers in my family, so we don't find ourselves wanting to sit in a smoky bar to eat a meal. We enjoy takeout, so it made sense to try the food when we did. I'm a HUGE fan of beer battered fish, and got word of them having this every Friday (even outside of Lent, which is hard to come by) I'm in! For $13 I got a ginormous beer battered piece of fish on a soft roll, slaw, and fries. It was a soft fluffy batter, which normally wouldn't be my first choice (I'm all about that crispy beer batter), but it was delicious! I've ordered it a few times and it's been consistently fresh and yummy each time. My husband has ordered a few different sandwiches, and has been pleased with everything. Nothing has been knock your socks off amazing, but they have solid food at great prices. I love that you can pull around the back of the building to pick up your food, separate from the bar entrance. Nothing is more awkward than hanging around a bar alone, screaming across a noisy counter, waiting for some poor bartender to stop serving drinks to check on your food order. You can avoid all that here! They take cash and credit, and get fairly busy early on the weekend. If we want to eat by 5:30, we usually order at least an hour in advance. Final note: Owned by a local family. I love supporting anything that isn't a chain, so I'll keep coming back. Even when things started getting rough this spring for small businesses (and bars in general), I've seen nothing but upbeat, positive posts from the owners on Facebook.
My boyfriend and I just walked into this place and walked right back out!! We were hoping to throw back a few beers and eat some bomb wings but instead we got stared at like aliens and rejected because my boyfriends ID wouldn 't scan . We just went through the airport and THIS PLACE is telling us his ID is not valid? I grew up in Penn Township and I am pretty mortified that a hometown wing place that I grew up with would treat us like we weren 't welcome. We walked in and asked for menus. The bartender looked at us like we were ghosts then asked if we wanted to go menus?! WHAT?! I said can we eat here? She said yes fumbled around with our IDs then basically kicked us out because my boyfriend 's ID didn 't scan. I will NEVER return to this place!! It smells like smoke and I cannot believe in my home town I could ever feel so unwelcome!! Check out Mr. Mike 's in Irwin!! That 's where we ended up going instead :
Just did a company luncheon that Ski's Nick's catered they did a great job and the food was well liked by everyone.
Came in for lunch on a Monday. Ordered the grilled chicken wrap. Got fast, professional service. Everyone in the bar was very friendly. The bartender was kind enough to tell me all the fun places around the area. The food was great and the staff was welcoming! A very pleasant experience. I'll be going back for sure!
