We can't wait till next week. You will agree, a really nice cozy culinary experience. We live 25 miles away and would rather drive here for great food than to drive to larger cities. Great place, wow.
My lunch was delicious! A little on the pricier side for lunch, but it felt the cost of the fresh ingredients made to order in great flavor combinations. The service was initially slow, but they were short staff and a large takeover order came right before my arrival. My food was made very fast as soon as I was able to order, and they were apologetic for waiting.
That was a surprise! We just walked down the way and looked for something to eat. We saw the menu outside, LOVED the atmosphere on the inside, and decided to give it an attempt. We ordered the Bruschetta, and Charcuterie Board (House Cheese Platter). We ordered it for 3 people, and it was more than enough to fill us. The bread was so unbelievable and everything was so well paired with the dish of cheese, fruit and meat. The Bruschetta was the best thing each of us had, I really liked the cucumbers in it! We will make this a first-class stop every time we are in the area!
My brother-in-law drove from Dallas to eat here as he didn't get a meal at Pilgrimage. He was not disappointed by his smashed pork chop, which I think is the best dish on the menu. I chose the lighter tuna salad and house salad and managed to talk it out of his side of bread. Yum, it's practically dessert. Service was also wonderful.
11/24/21 Came around 5:30 P.M. BEST BREAD, EVER!!!! THIS IS A CARB LOVERS PARADISE!!!!!! Our waitress/meal preparer was AMAZING!!!!! Coming to this dig was a great way to end a day of travel from Lafayette, LA to Karnack/Jefferson, TX. The chili and cornbread=SUPERB!!!! The Mardi Gras sandwich and roasted potatoes were very delectable! The ambiance of the place is absolutely cozy and enchanting. This place will not disappoint! Try a mimosa! Mmmmmmm!!!! $40.00 tip to the waitress because it is the most UNIQUE Cafe I have ever been to in a LONGGGGG time, and I travel A LOT!
