Eighty Ocean Kitchen And

We showed up at 5:00 for dinner on a Wednesday without reservation. I called earlier and was told that reservations were not taken. While the restaurant was empty, the staff at the host station told me that it would fill out soon; but she was determined to find a place for our 6 party. We sat at a high table and accommodations were made to have safe places for our 2 children. I appreciated the service level so much. We could have just turned off, but the staff really accommodated us. We had a wonderful meal the food was delicious and served in a timely fashion. Our waiter was pleasant. Would highly recommend and would return. Much better experience than many restaurants on Jekyll!

We visit Eighty Ocean every time we go to Jekyll. Twice a year usually. This restaurant is consistently excellent. We love the decor of the living room next to the restaurant for pre/post dinner drinks.

First ever trip to Jekyll Island, and we looked forward to dinner at Eight Ocean Kitchen and Bar. Very quiet night...only three other parties in the outdoor dining area at 6:30 pm...and that was fine with us. Kudos to Alex, our server, he took very good care of us. Generous drink pours, yummy wedge salad, delicious crab dip (with just enough crostini for two) and a very good wild mushroom and arugula flatbread. The servings were ample, and actually kept us from ordering dessert. Alex said we need to come back for the bread pudding. We will!

Very good drinks and dinner on Monday night. At the bar waiters and waiters were very friendly and helpful. Good size redfish and very well made... along with good drinks.
