Jake's Famous Crawfish - Jennings Lodge

Food and service was excellent. Wonderful happy hour. Delish Pinot Grigio. Sat outside. Great experience

I thought this place was ok. 3.5 stars but I'll round to 4 because our server was cool. We got fish and chips, clam chowder, and crab cakes. All the food was decent but nothing memorable. Putting in our reservation it seemed like a very hectic environment, servers racing in and out the door through a crowd of people; but once we were seated the vibe was more lax. If I lived in Portland I'd probably go back here, but if I'm just visiting again I'm not sure it would make the repeat list.

Disappointing — not the Jake’s I recall visiting 5 years ago

I really wanted to love this place! We were in Portland on vacation and I happened to come across this place for great seafood. My husband and I were so excited to try it. We showed up on a Saturday night, it was pretty busy so we sat outside. There was a waiter who walked past our table multiple times and completely ignored us while other tables continued to fill up and be served. It's hard to find such classic places such as Jake's Famous Crawfish. The classic atmosphere is complemented by a warm and helpful staff that works hard to deliver a great experience no matter how busy it gets. Food is always wonderful as well. Special occasion or as casual lunch, or anything in between, you just can't go wrong here.
