Best Pineapple Chicken Fried rice in the city. come here at least once a month. we love it here.
Delicious and authentic food with great service. My favorites are the Basil Fried Rice and Soy Ginger Salmon. Accommodating of food allergies.
I ate here with a friend on the 4th of July. That may explain the bad service. It took about 10 minutes to get our table wiped off let alone a menu and taking the order, which took about the same amount of time. It took a while just to get some water. My friend ordered the fried tofu and I ordered the salad, I think it was Som Tam Pua with papaya, eggplant, crab and pork cracklings. The wait for food was interminable. They finally brought my friends plate and she finished it before mine even came. I had to ask for my beer again as they forgot I ordered it. The salad had an odd flavor and a raw heat I didn't like and I like spicy food. I wasn't sure what to do with the little crab pieces in it, they seemed inedible. My friend and I examined them minutely to determine whether they should be eaten. There was no pork in the salad that I could discern and I didn't eat more than a few bites. We already decided then that we didn't like the place much but I have been sick for two days since eating there.
Extremely delicious food! Thom Kah Gai was delicious, and so was the mango cashew tofu. My boyfriend's pad thai was very good, and my brother had the massaum chicken curry. It tasted amazing and he said it was one of the best foods he'd ever eaten. The service was even better! The ladies chatted with us, made good recommendations, boxed out leftovers for us, and generally and authentically made us feel welcomed. Whenever I'm in Portland again I will definitely be back!
