I pretty much have lunch here everyday so I call my order in advance prior to my lunch and is always ready by the time I get there. Very affordable. The food is simply delicious curries are my must haves no matter what Thai restaurant I go to. This is the only place I know so far where I have had pumpkin curry. I have also ordered their pretty much everything in their menu that comes with noodles. I don’t eat seafood so I cannot make any comments on that, the place is always extremely clean, smells good and welcoming. Sadly I read some negative reviews about this place such as the lady complaining about waiting time. restaurant food is cook to order no in batches so as with any restaurant is best to plan ahead , that’s why some require reservations. I feel that I need to comment on this one : Comment read : Weird smell on her food. As a connoisseur of international gastronomy Indian , Thai African, central and Latin American cuisines among others I can respectfully say that perhaps her deprived palate doesn’t know about the richness of fish sauce, shrimp paste , oyster sauce , staple ingredients in Asian cuisine. I feel that most people that leave negative comments for restaurant’s is either because they are unfamiliarized with the food and don’t know what to order or forget that food varies depending in region. My recommendation is ask and be mindful that each country uses unique spices , sauces and other ingredients that you might not be accustomed to , Food is culture be respectful and if you are not up to trying new flavors you might want to stick to those you do know.
Pad Thai was absolutely horrible. Waited a whole hour only for dry noodles with a weird smell.
I ordered Pad Thai from Uber Eats. It needed more sauce. Won't be doing that again.
Sequoia was a great server, so sweet and attentive! The food was very good and filling, and had a good variety for everyone.
Ordered a curry from here that had a giant potato cut into six pieces in it, with very few other vegetables meat included (I'm sure because the potato took up so much space). Taking out the large potato pieces, still crunchy flavorless due to their size, basically halved the curry amount. The curry itself was just okay. Disappointing as usually Portland Thai food is hard to beat.
