Terrible service this morning around 9am wait time was not acceptable and two of the muffins I ordered were literally thrown together with part of the bun missing a new low for McDonald's .... Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Not McHappy. It 's hard to see why this store should remain open. I don 't post negative reviews but this store is truly an exception. I have gone through the drive through on two occasions only to be told by the same person each time she is doing a system update , and therefore cannot serve me. In the 20+ years I have been ordering McDonalds from different stores and at different hours, I have never been told this. I appreciate system updates do occur but normally much later in the night. The first time this occurred was at around 1am on 20 January 2024 i.e. Friday night Saturday morning. I was told the update would take 1 hour. This is not correct as I have it on reliable information that the update normally takes 5-10 minutes, and up to 30 minutes for a big update. The second time was at around 11.55pm i.e. around 5 mins before midnight on Friday, 1 March 2024. I was told the update was being done earlier because it was the first of the month. These are both times when one would expect a store advertised as 24 7 to be able to take orders, especially on a Friday Saturday. I made a complaint about my first experience via the McDonalds website and requested someone from McDonalds contact me. I received an automatic reply stating it would be reviewed within 10-12 business days. To this date, no one has contacted me about this complaint. I have made another complaint about the second experience via the McDonalds website and asked to be contacted. The automatic reply said someone will review the complaint in the next 3-4 business days. I wasn 't holding my breath but, to its credit, the McDonalds ' customer service team replied this time by email on 3 March 2024 stating, We appreciate the time you have taken to provide us with your feedback which we will pass on to the relevant team for their information. One can only hope passing on the feedback to the relevant team will result in meaningful change otherwise more people will be disappointed by the so called system update at a most inopportune time. Don 't bother with this store. The McDonalds in Queanbeyan is a short drive. The service and food there is MUCH better.
