Atlas Public House - Jersey City

The service at this restaurant is quite slow. From looking at the menu to getting water, drinks, placing an order, eating, asking for the bill, everything took longer than usual. The ambience is pleasant and the Sunday brunch music was enjoyable. The food was decent but nothing extraordinary. Perhaps it would be a better spot for drinks and socializing rather than a full meal.

The tapas appetizers were decent. The octopus was overcooked, resulting in crispy pieces. The black bean was tough on the outside but soft on the inside. The Brussels sprouts were tasty. My companion ordered a burger which he thought was average, but not worth the price. The drinks were good and the ambiance was beautiful. We wouldn't mind coming back for drinks, but we would choose to eat somewhere else.

We first came to Atlas House for drinks and fell in love with the scenery and look of the place. Their restaurant week options were solid and I definitely enjoyed the steak.
