Emma's - Jersey City

We had an outstanding and unforgettable dining experience at this restaurant. We wholeheartedly recommend it! There are abundant options for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. The quality, flavor, and temperature of the food were all excellent, as was the service provided by our very polite server. We were pleasantly surprised to find free parking just a few blocks away! We can't wait to come back in the future. The location is also great, situated near the newly built Journal Squared towers, which are definitely worth seeing.

I've dined there twice on the patio, and it's quickly become one of my favorites. The standout dish is definitely the Fried Chicken Dinner, which I absolutely love. The pecan pie was phenomenal, too. The drinks are quite enjoyable as well. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, so I'm looking forward to returning to sit at the bar. The service can be a bit slow, as there's only one server, but I find it amusing that the restaurant is located in the heart of the Journal Square train station. It makes for a perfect pit stop after my commute before heading home.

This restaurant has a lot of potential, but it requires some significant improvements. During our visit, it seemed like there was only one host managing all the tables, which indicates that they are seriously understaffed. Additionally, many of the tables were wobbly and needed attention. The fire alarm was constantly going off, and there were flies buzzing around (just check the picture of the wine glass). As for the food, it was rather average. I likely won't be returning anytime soon.

I went to Emma's and tried their Mac and cheese, it was delicious and definitely one of the items I will get all the time . Fried chicken and biscuits are a match made in heaven and give a real Southern feel.

Went here for Restaurants Week: we had fried chicken (with the most heavenly biscuit) and blackened catfish. For dessert we had chocolate chip bread pudding. All very tasty. Since then we have been back twice! We love the atmosphere, the music is great and the staff is always so friendly. Drinks are also dangerously tasty ???? This place is a new favorite and we look forward to coming back soon ??
