Greene Hook Kitchen - Jersey City

Everything's in order. Previously, it was my way to get a beer or do something work. I was always very friendly every time and enjoyed my time there. one day I went in and was told by a server that I was not allowed. I was confused because I didn't do anything wrong. I asked to talk to the owner to explain the situation. he met me a few times when I was out there. He never explained what the problem was. I called about 5 times, sent 3 emails and still never heard again. I just recently came out because I was interested in having some business dinner there, and again, still no answer or answer with a statement. that is completely unprofessional and respectless as a company. I guess it was personal? no warning. eating is in order. nothing really rave. okay, where you can grab a couple of beers with friends. the bartenders are very nice. there are many other amazing places to go with great service in the jersey city area.

Very solid situation. I like to bring people here to get a casual meal.

My friend and I tried this place after I had seen that he was separated from hudson's restaurant week. I made a reservation about yelp and we were sitting fast as soon as we arrived. we both chose the restaurant week menu that contains a appetizer, a lot of escape and dessert for $35. to begin I had the paulus hook dark and stormy drink and my bf head a kona. we started with whistle and poutine. my cocktail was good and both apps were delicious. for we had the roasted chicken and the first-class rib sandwich. my hunch was juicy, but could have tasted a little more. it also came with egg noodles that were strangely quite cold. the main rib was crushed and seemed more like thin/soft brisket. it was good, but could 've used more taste / can be a swallow? we ordered another round of drinks, cherry lime soda and jc strong ass were both good/ok. the cream brûlée was good, but something was missing again. the egg that came with the brotpudding was really good. the brotpudding was just okay. our overall consensus was that everything was just good/not big/foaming. our food tasted to home cooked, but not in the wise as we expected from a restaurant. something was missing all the time. our server was really nice / attentive. that seemed like a nice place, maybe we'll come back for a drink/appearant.

This was one of the only places that were opened during the New Year's Eve in Jersey City, for which my group was very grateful. I didn't order a drink, but the Jalapeno-Mac cheese. The part was quite generous, but he wasn't very good. It felt like I drank fake cheese soup that Macaroni had boiled in it with chopped Jalapeno. While the food was not good, our server was very nice (so 1 star), and we definitely appreciated the staff for work this night.

Have been a regular for at least 5 years.Great staff creating a friendly environment. Great drink selection beer, wine, cocktail. Not huge, but all great selections.Great burgers and sandwiches and can always get the right amount any time of the day.
