Honest Jersey City

I was in jersey city and looking for very late dinner and found Honest open till 10:30 pm. Lucky to find a parking right across the honest. Good place for vegetarian Indian snacks.

I really like their bhakri pizza and literally went all the way to eat that. It is an Indian style pizza with lots of amul cheese. The best part about food here was the amul cheese. I kinda wish the place didn't smell a bit dingy and was cleaner. The food was overall quite delicious except the noodles which could be better. The bhelpuri was legit the best bhel puri I've had outside India. Highly recommend. I would highly recommend this place for take out but not for eating in.

I can see why the overall rating is three stars here due to service but trust me when I say.. the Biryani here is amazing!!!! Don't go to JC or Edison expecting 5 star service.. go expecting 4-5 star food. We also tried the Dosa here and it was also pretty perfect. Their orange red chutney is amazing! Go here for the food!!!

We went there yesterday. Our friends from virginia were visiting and they wanted to try some good food.firstly we loved the ambience.though some telungu songs were not that soothing??We Had chicken biriyani/ goat biriyani , the quantity were really good, easily 3 people can share one bowl and chicken biriyani was so good,they gave it as medium spicy, as we requested. Mutton biriyani had toomuch masala though it was tasty too.but there was no egg /lemon/onion served with biriyani.(will ignore it as the food was good)Chicken 65 and chicken 555 very tasty and flavorful . Kids had dosa and idli, which were nice too. And there was a chicken curry which the staff suggested (telengana chicken curry or something) it was finger licking good. Butter naan and garlic naan were so perfect.The staffs were so warm friendly and hospitable. Totally we were so satisfied and our friends were so happy that we tried this restaurant. Hands down this is the best restaurant for the quality of food and service in indian street.Will definitely go there more and will suggest to friends.keep it up guys!

Godavari is one of the best restaurant in Jersey city heights. We went on Mother’s Day before and for to celebrate Mother’s Day with big group 18 people family) . And service was so good, food was even more delicious. We enjoyed our time at Godavari. Definitely recommend to everyone who loves South Indian and northern food. You should absolutely go to this place with group dinner or lunch , perfect for kids.
