Montgomery Deli Plus - Jersey City

Excellent service and good food We ordered soup and sandwiches. The hamburger was cooked perfectly and the soup was piping hot… We will return!

A better-than-average diner, with a big menu, large portions, and classic Jersey dishes. A good range of beers too. We left full and happy.

Visited 3 times with each being a great experience. Wide ranging menu with good food served quickly. Service from Roberto was top notch. It was our most visited restaurant on our trip to New York.

Staying at the Hyatt Regency a couple of blocks away and despite the rainy weather trekked over to the City Diner for a late breakfast (10:00 a.m. . Seated immediately as only about 20% occupied. Great service. I had the customized omelet with bacon and cheese, home fries with large slices of sourdough bread. Wife had scrambled eggs, bacon and fruit salad. Very tasty. Very upscale appearing diner with a full-service bar as well. By the time we left just before 11:00 the diner was probably 90% full so clearly a popular lunch spot as well although their breakfast menu is available all day.

Chimichurri Steak medium rare. Add house salad for $3. Outstanding!!!While visiting Jersey City this place was recommended. We walked a few blocks from the hotel. I felt kind of like an extra in a Seinfeld episode.
