Mcdonald's - Jessup

While I rarely eat at Micky D 's these days now and then I have a hankering for nostalgia and for me, that 's a McDonald 's double filet o ' fish large fries with no salt and a chocolate milkshake. McDonald 's has been consistent since I was a kid and they did not disappoint. My meal was consistent and there is NOTHING more perfect than piping hot fries after placing a controlled amount of salt and pepper on them!!!! Say what you want I could have had the fries alone and would have been happy! It was also great watching the new small generations of children focusing more on their Happy Meal prizes than their food.....that really brought back memories!!! McDonald 's is rightly called fast food well I would like to re-coin the phrase and call it nostalgicly fast food because as we grow older a trip to McDonald 's brings out the kid in all of us. I went up to the cashier (she had no name tag but she had glasses and reddish hair). To get cream and sugar for my coffee. She said “um, you can ask them” in a rude tone. and pointed to her coworkers that were very busy. I said “excuse me?” She said “you can ask th- never mind I guess I’ll get it” handed it to me and had a bad attitude. Didn’t know it was such an inconvenience for you to walk 3 steps to grab a pack of sugar and creamer. Food was good. Place was packed and we almost thought they forgot about our food because they took so long.

When we opened the bag, I found my big breakfast (hotcakes) in complete disarray, with eggs spilled all over and a syrup packet that had burst open. Everything was in its own little container, so I really don't understand how it ended up like this. I approached the register to address the situation, as there were no other customers in line. The employee, who seemed disinterested and was busy staring at her phone, told me they could help me over there. To sum it up, the service is terrible—there's no self-service refill station, the floors are filthy, and the tables are disgusting. The food is just thrown around without care. I will no longer be coming to this location and would much rather drive the extra ten minutes to eat at the McDonald's in the mall.

Today is 8/25/23 so for the last several weeks, I’ve been choosing this McDonald’s to stop at before I go to work. Today around 7:18am I ordered my usual #4 (not the sandwich) The Meal! I was met with a very nasty and sassy young man who said his name was Nelson, but I’m sure he’s lying. I told him I would like the #4 and he kept repeating to me the sandwich or the meal I said Sir the #4 “he said OK, but is that the sandwich or the meal? “ I said sir what is the #4 is that not the entire meal? He responds very SASSY “NOT NECESSARILY “ like TF kinda response is that! If I only wanted the sandwich, I would’ve asked for the sandwich Alone!! see that’s where common sense comes in and context, clues that I’m sure young Nelson does not have. He needs to be removed from the headset and taking orders period! And if he doesn’t like his job, he needs to pick a different career to go in! I worked in customer service for 14 years and I wouldn’t have been able to get away with that smart mouth of his. Service: 1
