We started with the black satay, which was tough and chewy, like leather. The slate charcuterie board was decent, though. I ordered the dijon maple pork; the sauce was tasty, but the meat was again extremely tough, resembling horse leather, and it was served on a bed of spinach. We had checked the menu beforehand and were eager to try the sandwiches, but we discovered that they’re not available during dinner hours, which isn't mentioned on their website. Since they only serve brunch on Friday nights, Saturdays, and Sundays, one would think they would offer sandwiches all day on Saturdays.
I'm not someone who typically writes reviews, but I felt compelled to share my thoughts about this particular restaurant. While Jim Thorpe is a lovely place to visit, this restaurant unfortunately falls short. Our meals were bland, and the service left much to be desired. I cannot recommend it.
My wife and I visited this restaurant for a date night, and even though we live 35 minutes away, it was worth the trip. The atmosphere was lively and enjoyable, and there was a fascinating gallery of articles to explore. Overall, we had a fantastic time!
Fantastic! that was great, the bartender awesome and as always, we felt welcome and take care of.
Cafe Arielle was an absolutely exceptional experience. I went for brunch and got the French Toast with strawberries and the breakfast grilled cheese. Both were incredibly rich in flavor and provided a great juxtaposition between the two. Notably, the breakfast grilled cheese was loaded with flavors that didn't come across unnecessary. The service was great, everyone was welcoming and amicable. The aesthetic of Cafe Arielle is what takes it to the next level. The walls are decorated with art made from the Stabin Museum attached to the restaurant, which provide a great atmosphere to enjoy your meal. There is also a back porch area seating if you want to sit outside. Overall I had a bomb time at Cafe Arielle, can't wait to go back.
