Encore - Jim Thorpe

Great food and service. Was a little pricey but excellent quality.

My husband and I booked Encore for a 9pm dinner on a whim while driving up to the area to pick up our son from sleepaway camp. We spent the night and decided to grab a bite, just the two of us, at a local restaurant. I booked via opentable and the restaurant called within 5 minutes to confirm personally. When we arrived, the aesthetic was fancy and quaint, and there were only two other tables occupied (it was 9pm on a Friday night . The cocktails we ordered were well made, the appetizer (an arancini ball with peppers was DELICIOUS (i'm craving it now! , the entrees were perfect (my husband had the salmon and i had the chicken with pancetta . The service was impeccable. We were shocked to find such a great meal and a great night out and great cocktails in the middle of a tiny village in the mountains! We felt very well taken care of!

Great little restaurant and bar in an historic building in Jim Thorpe. We had an enjoyable, quiet lunch. The atmosphere is casual but sophisticated. The help was attentive and courteous. Everyone was satisfied with their food selections.

We decided to try something new and was recommended by a friend to try Encore. So it being our first time, we went with the friends recommendation to sit at the bar for dinner. The only downside was that there are low ceilings in the bar area and the table behind us had two small children who were screaming throughout their entire time in the restaurant! But other than that, we loved the service, the food, the drinks, and even the dessert! I had the scallop meal and it was superb! Hubby had the meatballs and linguine. His dish had five huge meatballs and my husband said they were fabulous! We also had the cheesecake for dessert which was very, very good! All in all we would definitely go back....in fact it just might be my favorite restaurant on the cape!

We had a wonderful dinner. Tomato Basil Soup was delicious. Crab Cakes were the best I ever tasted.
