The whole thing arrived totally wrapped up in tin foil. When you cook food in tin foil it tends to end up not looking very flattering and this was no exception. Now, looks is not the only thing, but unfortunately it wasn't the only thing lacking. The dish itself was very bland and boring, although I will say it was well cocked mening it spent the right amount of time in the oven. They definitely need to work on the seasoning though. The first thing I did was ad a bunch of salt, because I'm fairly sure there was none in there to start with. There was a tiny amount of sauce in the tin foil package along with the salmon and the root crops but it was so tiny an amount it didn't add much to the experience. I'm sad to say the dish was mediocre at best, and I can cook much better myself. Now, if I were to improve this dish, the first thing I would fix would be the plating. Put the fish and root crops on a fresh plate, after having been coked in the tin foil, then add the sauce, veggies and garnish right before serving it. Second. Spice it up! More sauce, salt, herbs, a touch of lemon and maybe some parmesan... That would make the dish much more interesting.
The food doesn’t match the price! One side is half raw while the other is burnt, as the same goes for spices, either no spice on one side or overspiced on the other...both for the pizza and pasta we ordered...simply shows lack of effort... atmosphere is kinda shady and unwelcoming...the service is slow, and stinks pure sweat from the personnel! Honestly I do believe in bad days and stuff as I too have worked in the food industry but that shouldn’t be a situation for a popular restaurant....
Relaxing and calming atmosphere with big wood burning stove inside ! Polite and helpful staff, good food, big choice of pizzas, we eat salmon it was ok, schnitzel was good and fresh cooked garlic bread was absolutely amazing!
I had a fantastic lunch at this restaurant! They offer a variety of delicious salad options and even though I opted for a meat-free pizza, it still had a great kick of spice that I enjoyed. The only area that could use some improvement is the cleanliness of the toilets. Despite this, I will definitely be returning in the future!
Nice cosy atmosphere and a pretty full restaurant on a Friday evening. Attentive and polite service. We had the 3 course meal which seemed like a good deal. Was very underwhelmed by the starter salad as it was a sad looking affair with some lettuce leaves a couple of slices of tomato, a few small tasteless mozzarella balls and a drizzle of dressing. Jazz this up or serve with some toasted garlic bread or something! The other choice of starter, prawn cocktail seems very 1985. Didn't think restaurants still served this tired dish! The main, salmon and veggies baked in foil, I didn't enjoy. The salmon was very salty and the potatoes dry and tasteless as no sauce or dressing was served with this dish. A very boring dish. The dessert, creme brûlée was very tasty though. Wine was well priced. The pizzas looked nice too although no one in our party tried them. To sum up, if some time and energy could be spent improving and developing some of the dishes then this place would be a nice place to visit for an evening meal.
