Sumo Japanese Kitchen - Johnson Siding

Color me surprised, but the sushi was great. I got the Sushi Combo 2, which included a miso soup appetizer (it was good), and an assortment of nigiri and a few pieces of california, vegetable and tuna rolls. It was well put together (literally) with good attention to detail, and all the fish was the right temp to enjoy the flavor. Nothing fishy here! As an out of town guest, I can say this was all around some of the best sushi I have had in the Midwest.

We found this place based on a search, and were concerned because it was out of the way, but it was exceptional. Check out the Godzilla room!

The restaurant is so clean and stylish it puts the surrounding landscape out of focus. My Filipino friend literally told me he feels like he's back in Asia. Second time eating here and I think I'll definitely keep coming back.

I had a tigers eye roll and a crunch roll with cream cheese. Both were very good. The atmosphere is not cramped and feels very much like a sushi shop.
