Shik Gaek Korean Family - Johor Bahru

It is one of the Korean restaurant, which is from children to adult to older people, at least in my family. for about 10 years of korean. most of their employees are by philippine, great service! we usually order pork pork set and their famous pancakes for 2 adult and 2 children. around RM40-50 per head, which is quite reasonable for Korean grilling. we love their diversity in local dishes. we will refill and manufacture all website dishes without failed. of course only those we like most, kimchi, gurke, sardelle, green vegetables, etc. the cake is crispy and tasty, it is a must try. Finally, the staff are all very friendly, polite and helpful. our children and parents felt comfortable there. kudos to the management and team!

Order the set for 2-3 pax (bef rib, kimchi stew, bibimbap, saba fish) added to extra chicken meat. the portions are not as large as the two of us (my wife and I) have finished almost all the food (and I don't think our appetite is great) the bark was very tender, but was easy in marination. that was not too bad. the kimchi stew was a little sharp, but very comforting. the rice in the bibimbap was a bit too humid, but tasted good. the Saba fish was delicious and the skin was also crispy. the sides tasted all delicious and can be restocked when they ask the service staff. they also serve hot furthest tee (free,) which is a nice note! the service staff do not smile, but they are professional and fast to respond to our desires. recommend this place!

We got the BBQ set for 2 and it was RM78 (without control) and it came with a full size kimchi suppe, which was really good! they were super generous with the next dishes and the staff would cook the meat for them it was a good experience overall but expect them a wait (we went on a Saturday night)

This is my first time trying the Korean foods at Shik Gaek. The taste is good especially for the side dishes. They are willing to serve a number of side dishes. One improvement is the portion for the barbecue meat as it is not very big. I will visit again.

Order Bibimbap石锅拌饭，a bit shock cuz I thought only barbaeuqe or set meal got free small dishes. I ordered one bibimbap also got few small dishes, seaweed soup and hot tea. The price is economic than other Korean restaurants. I spent Rm20 only. But I personally think that bibimbap the rice can be more crispy.
