The Reserve - Joliet

Our server, Stacy, was outstanding. She managed the pacing of our meal perfectly, making sure we never felt rushed. The soups we ordered were delightful—both the lobster bisque and corn chowder were exceptional. For our main courses, we enjoyed a shrimp and pasta dish along with a burger, both of which were very good. The burger was cooked to perfection. The only minor complaint I had was that the loaded baked potato wasn't as loaded as I'd hoped—it came with just a bit of bacon, cheese, butter, and sour cream. I ended up using some extra butter from the bread service we were given when we sat down. A little more of the toppings would have been appreciated. On a positive note, my Paloma was spot on. Overall, I would definitely recommend The Reserve for a date night, special occasion, anniversary, or any special outing.

I've always enjoyed dining at The Reserve, but this time was different. There was a party in one of the rooms, and my waitress was busy attending to them, which affected the service. It took a long time to receive my drink, and even longer for my salad to arrive. We waited quite a while, but I don’t blame the waitress—I've had her before, and she was great then. This time, the slow service was the fault of management.

The music from the adjacent room was excessively loud.

The food was absolutely GREAT! Our server was excellent. GREAT experience!

The service was extremely slow for a late dinner reservation. The risotto was very clumpy and pretty tasteless.
