As a Southern Girl / Grady Baby I can honestly say that this is how soul food should serve! I haven't tried many things since I only went twice a week, but I intend to go through the menu. The owner oozes the southern hospitality, which seems all but disappeared in my home state and that is really welcome. What? The little that is what it is about in the south cooking and a dose of charm. Get real food!
Definitely worth waiting!!! This is my second time to visit this restaurant, and I see why there are a number of cartridges waiting patiently in the drive thru to place and get their food. While waiting, I took the opportunity to go and some exercise in (3.5 miles) so I could consume it all!!! I made a happy plate!!! Every calorie was delicious
This food is nothing short of amazing!!! This is the best restaurant soul food I have eaten in a very long time. The sweet tea is perfect: strong and sweet. All I ordered is packed with a powerful taste stamp.
Great southern food. Lewis is cool. He's like SpongeBob, he puts love into what he's making. If you are in the Jonesboro area and haven't tried this spot, don't miss out.
Mr. Lewis, YOU know how to cook PERIOD!!! Me being new to the McDonough area, I found you restaurant on my GPS and decided to take a try at your cuisine. I was not disappointed one bit. I ordered the whiting dinner with okra and slaw. DELICIOUS, WELL PREPARED, LIP SMACKING, NOT OVER SEASONED, FLAKEY WHITING!!! What more could I ask bit for you to NEVER sell your business. Sir, in a world of copy-cats saying they know how to cook OUR foods, you put them all to shame. Those of you coming to my country trying to out cook the originators of delicacy, please stick to what you know. You will NEVER attain the glory of Mr. Lewis. This man KNOWS COOKING and it is evident with every meal he serves. B1, Brother Lewis.
