Rosalie's Roadhouse - Jonesville

This restaurant only accepts cash, but there's an ATM on-site. It's a nice place to eat, although the seating is quite cramped. The atmosphere is unique and inviting. I tried the steak and cheese sandwich with pub fries, and everything was delicious. The building has an older charm that adds to its chic vibe. Since we visited in winter, the decor felt especially cozy, making it a comfortable spot to enjoy a meal while wearing a sweatshirt.

My husband and I had lunch at this restaurant on Tuesday. We sat outside on the charming terrace, though the only downside was the noise from the many passing trucks. I ordered a turkey sandwich that was flavorful, and it came with beautiful, crispy house-made chips, although they were a bit under-seasoned. My husband had the fish and chips, which he liked, and the house ale was quite good as well. Just a heads-up: they don’t accept cards here. Overall, we had a lovely experience and would definitely come back.

We were seated within minutes, and our waitress was excellent—very knowledgeable and helpful. The kitchen staff prepared two generous meals that felt more like home-cooked dishes than typical roadside fare. If you haven't been there yet, you should definitely check it out!

They have seats on the upper floor that could accommodate big parties, and I was told that they even had a wedding.

Oh...my...goodness!!! The BEST hamburger around, takes me back to how they use to make them in the 1950s!!! (that GOOD! Yummy! My husband has traveled around the world and insists we go back to Rosalie 's Roadhouse for the best, most delicious hamburger ever! The trek from Ypsilanti (just east of Ann Arbor is an hour and 15 minutes and well worth this sumptuous hamburger. When we leave we have to take two home with us, for we are not sure when we 'll be back. We met Richard the owner who was so kind and welcoming; also understandably impassioned about their secret recipe. I always wondered about who the cook is and we were introduced to Mitchell of whom I dubbed Genius Jr. and Richard Genius Sr for their culinary expertise of this fine cuisine presented, thanks to the Genius 's of Rosalie 's Roadhouse!!!
