My holy grail for Bento in the Burbs. For a long time now I’d been looking for a decent go-to Japanese place for a quick meal or takeaway. Somewhere that sits on the scale closer to ‘small restaurants or hole-in-the-wall setups akin to those you find in Japan’, rather than ‘chandelier dripping Italian leather seating fusion places you find in casinos’.<br/ <br/ This is now MY bento place. Here you can grab decent tasting, decent sized Japanese sets (bento or don) at a decent price. Don’t go past the Gyoza either, they’re great. There’s also plenty of Sushi and Udon on the menu (although no Ramen).
I went to the restaurant for lunch today and had the spicy udon noodles. It was fantastic!
Fantastic Japanese. It's not the cheapest place around but the food is cooked really well and the serving size is extremely generous. I cannot recommend this place enough. hearty. Simple and delicious. The karage and katsu are some of the best I have had
We absolutely adore this restaurant. My husband and I enjoyed a Karaage bento box that was more than enough food for both of us. The ingredients were incredibly fresh. I wish I still worked nearby so I could visit more often. The only downside is that they do not accept EFTPOS payments.
