Feedback gevenI’m sorry to say, I do not recommend this place. We visited twice as no other cafe in Jouques was open. First time we had a goats cheese salad and a savoury crepe. The food was fine, nothing special but nothing terrible (though the salad included cous cous which seemed exactly like some we had the day before from Lidl - so made me wonder about how home-made things were). The wait to order/get our drinks/be served was quite long, they didn’t have that many customers but told us they were very busy.We went another time before setting out on a walk - again as other options in town were closed, so it was the only place we could get a sandwich. When we arrived they had 4 tables and we ordered two simple ham and cheese baguettes to take out, and were asked to take a seat while we waited. We waited nearly 30 minutes! The customers already there were mostly wrapping up, and indeed by the time we got our sandwich all had paid and left; I’ve worked in restaurants a lot and this was not busy. But the lady serving seemed to just deal with one table a time - I saw her waiting round while the pizzas for the order before us cooked despite the fact that she could have made our sandwiches in less than 3minutes. When we asked about the delay we were brushed off.Only eat here if you have no other option.
Went to Lou Cassaire for a second year running and we were fondly remembered from the previous year by the lovely lady who runs it, because we ordered a pizza each not knowing how huge they are, she told us to just have maybe two instead of 4, so right, we were eating them for lunch the next day despite taking her advise, just the best pizzas in town and huge, all washed down with local chilled rose and local people, see you next year
A pleasant "old fashioned" family run restaurant that serves very simple dishes. I was looking for a quick and simple meal without any high expectations. It's great for a pizza or a crepe however, the dessert was a bit of a let down. The service was good and friendly. It is centrally located and within walking distance of my hotel. If you are looking for a high end meal, than this is not the place.
This is a lovely local place. Family run. The food is good and cooked to order. Wonderful service! It's also in a sweet town.
The food is just a not-funny joke, not good and expansive, especially the dessert. A shame for the provencal cuisine. Just trust me and go in another restaurant!
