Conclusion: salmon and salads very, very tasty; with Hering/Matjes are homemade and you taste it. Even if a little expensive, happy again!
Previously my absolute favorite for fish snacks/fish. Unfortunately, a radical quality breakthrough. fermented salads where a fortune is paid for sauce and paprika and only separate sampling is lost. Fresh fish from the grill that drinks from fat and gave us an unpleasant, longer toilet visit with a rancid tone. So drive your former institutions against the wall!!
The fish business is located on the western edge of the village in a small side street. The typical fish of the North Sea are mainly hering, matjes, salmon, pee etc. There are also limited hot lunches with fish. If you want, you can also pick up fish rolls. The whole thing is quite expensive, but good.
The Juister Fischkehus is hidden in a small alley and is not further signed. It is located on the ground floor of a newly built residential building, which at the time of our visit was also a moderate construction site. The fish area and its outer area are already ready. Inside, the fish pastry sprays the charm of a roasted pepper: a large glass counter with fresh (fish) salads, the food with a selection of fresh fish pieces and drinks welcomes arrival. All dishes are freshly prepared on site for the customer. The selection extends over the obligatory fish rolls, crabs, various fried fish pieces, salads as well as fries and foil potatoes. The fish dough is a self-service place, the order is given at the counter, paid directly and then you need to pick up your food (after calling your own reception number) in the issue. There are many seats in the indoor and outdoor areas. Unfortunately, no dogs in the local area are allowed without food in the direct contact area of the animals. So we had to sit directly on the terrace over the wheelchair ramp and place our order only without a dog. Besides, we didn't find high chairs. These two points are also the only reasons why the fish dough does not get the full score. The food (a fish bread, a children's plate with fish sticks, as well as a sweat fillet) was delicious and hot overall. The prices are perfectly normal for comparable fish snacks, but for Juist absolutely cheap (two adults and one child have incl. Drinks paid about 27€). We will definitely visit the fish pastry again and then try the delicious looking salads.
A fish store that was in the middle of the refresh phase while we were there. She was just wondering for the new season. In Juist they can only build and renovate from October to May, then it's over! Chic shop, but for the sauce to the Calamares 1 € extra, where you also have the impression that you come out of the bucket lets me think if I would eat it again here. The crabs are supposed to be legendary, but I can't make a verdict about them. When it's done and the Terasse is put into operation, I'm sure it's gonna be a nice spot to get here!
