Bubba's - Kailua Kona

We were a bit disappointed to find they don’t serve beer, but the staff let us know that we could buy some from the store across the street and bring it back. After a long day of swimming, we opted to skip the extra trip, but it's worth considering if you’d like a cold drink to accompany your meal. As for the food, it was quite good! I would rate the burgers a solid 7 out of 10. Coming from a hometown with one of the best burger joints, I tend to be particular about burgers. However, I was especially impressed with the onion rings, followed closely by the fries. They are so delicious that Bubba offers a combo called "Frings," which includes both fries and onion rings for those who can’t choose between the two. I highly recommend taking him up on that; it's a fantastic option. The prices are very reasonable. The two of us enjoyed burgers, Frings, and drinks for under $14, even with one of the burgers being a double. On an amusing note, there’s an interesting story behind Bubba’s slogan.
