Mrs. Barry's Kona Cookies - Kailua-Kona

These biscuits are delicious! unique aromas and homemade flavor. a definite must for every trip to kona. best care package to send to your favorite! the order was placed on Monday morning and received on Thursday on the west coast. excellent service. very well packed. themselves let us write a personal note on a card and contain it on the box. I have eaten cookies from many of the big Hawai'i cookie companies, and I prefer mrs. barrys because they are still a small family business that can maintain the fresh, homemade taste and personalized service where the larger companies simply cannot. my favorite cookie is the coffee crunch. a perfectly crispy coffee-flamed biscuit with chocolate chips perfect for diving. my next favorit is the coconut knot bread, which has a perfectly uniform distribution of crispy roasted cocose nut in butterbrot. I found nothing like these cookies. mrs. barry himself worked when we left and we had to say hello. their legal daughter helped us to place our delivery of two dozen cookies to the family on the continental that did not make it for the holiday home. our family was so excited to get the surprise package that it was immediately opened and impressed by how well it was packed.

Allow plenty of time to wait in line! I waited in line for over 45 minutes and I would have had to wait much longer to get the cookies. I didn’t want to miss my flight so I had to go. It smelled good in the shop and the 2 people working were busy packing orders of cookies for a few customers ahead of me. It seemed like they could use some help. There were not many people ahead of me, but apparently they were buying a lot of cookies and it takes time to package them. Maybe next time I’m on the Big Island I’ll be able to try them and update my review.

All the cookies ? are phenomenal! Fresh, light, crispy and YUMMY ?! A total must for visitors to try, for kama'āina to make one of their favs and for Hawaii island peeps to take to their neighbor island ? ohana

These were the most incredible cookies! The people are very sweet, friendly and they have a wonderful dog. I would do whatever it takes to make this place a part of your journey.

The cookies here are soooo good. I usually don't like the texture of thin, crunchy cookies, but the taste of these cookies was delightful so the texture was an afterthought for me. I will for sure visit again.
