Sushi Sam - Kailua-Kona

Such a treat! We had gone to another sushi restaurant in the village that was far busier but Sushi Sam was a much more elevated experience. The flavor, texture, and presentation of each of our nigiri and sashimi were well-balanced, and the few things we ordered from the kitchen were spot on. Highly recommended!

This place in my opinion has the best sushi in Kailua-Kona. The Toro is second to none. The uni is Devine, the tempura is great on point. The presentation of the dishes is very elegant and beautiful. I tip the waitress and the sushi bar because the food is that good. I love taking my wife here when we are in a spendy mood. This is a great place to splurge a little on some great food and a very memorable experience. Highly recommend it you like quality sushi and sashimi.

Highly recommend! 5 ??! Visited from NYC and were so happy to find this hidden gem of a place. Freshest fish you will ever find, prepared with so much pride and care you can taste the love in the food. Presentation and taste is simply impeccable. It was so good we had to come back twice! Yes, it might be hard to get a table, but so worth the wait.
