Tea-licious Cafe - Kailua-Kona

I give this place high marks! The tea is good, and the people are friendly. They serve excellent local Hawaiian Black tea in charming, mismatched china. I ordered a whole pot and was really pleased with my choice. The restaurant is quite small, with just four tables inside and a cozy couch, creating a lovely atmosphere. The menu is light, featuring one of the best German potato salads I've ever tasted. They also have an extensive selection of teas and tisanes, including East Frisian tea and locally-made cold Kombucha. The prices are reasonable, ranging from $10 to $20, mostly because there were so many tempting items I wanted to try.

We initially intended to have breakfast at 808 Grindz Cafe, a popular spot among the locals, but we found ourselves at Tealicious instead. I ordered the purple tea, a yogurt parfait with muesli, chopped fruit, and honey, as well as a lemon cream cheese pastry. Dave opted for chia seeds with muesli, chopped fruit, and honey, along with a Portuguese tart. Everything was delicious and pleasing to the palate. I also enjoyed hearing one of the cuckoo clocks chime at 10am and gathered some ideas for activities in the area from the community bulletin board.

"This place in Kona is truly vibrant and one of a kind. They have an incredible selection of teas and delightful little treats. The Rose tea is a must-try! All their pastries are delicious. My only suggestion would be to replace the fresh fruits they serve with something else. Otherwise, everything here is definitely worth tasting."

The food was decent, and I found it better than the drinks. Some menu items seemed a bit overpriced. I preferred the coffee and iced tea at Kona Coffee & Tea. The service was quite slow, so make sure to allow plenty of time when visiting.

The food was incredible, the flavors were outstanding, and they have the best tea collection imaginable! Truly amazing!
