Lovely venue, exquisite cuisine, exceptional service, and a delightful atmosphere. An additional commendation for the owner who thoughtfully inquired whether we'd like bread—unlike the customary practice in Greece where it's brought automatically and subsequently charged. On the flip side, a minor setback was the bread's lack of freshness, appearing somewhat dry.
First the good one, which is the food. Absolutely everything was tasteful. And that's everything good about this place. Stuff was very rude. We set at the table that had glasses and plates of previous guests. After we arrived, two of Greek families came and they were served before us. Waiter came after 20 minutes to clean up. They didn't have half meals from the menu. We've waited for food for 40 minutes and when we got it, they told us that they have only half of portion of the sardines that we ordered (they charged for half portion as well).
We love this place, from the fresh pastitsio right out of the oven, the saganaki, horiatiki salad and the veal burgers with homemade french fries, yummmmy
Wow. It was a just a lovely dinner. We were there for opening night of TBEX but there were too many people in the square. We were invited by a fellow blogger to join them. We were so grateful that they did. It is a family owned restaurant and VERY reasonable with authentic Greek dishes. My husband ordered a braised beef in a bed of creamy tahini/hummus that was delicous. I thought I had ordered something similar to a Spanish torta de papa but what I got was more like a French Canadian Poutine without the gravy. It was French fries, shredded cheese topped with three fried eggs. It was still very good but not what I thought I had ordered. If in doubt, show them a picture of the food. The braised beef was EXCEPTIONAL!
