That's more than a restaurant, it's an experience! Creol food is amazing and this place makes it good. Service is good and they are patient and helpful when it is a new experience for you.

Super friendly and knowledgeable service. Very through explanation of food and options. Several options, as you would like, to serve your elastic band. Some desserts are also offered. Drunken Chicken was delished over white rice. Just enough kick, but tolerable, I don't want it hotter, but you can if you want. French bread served with butter was nice. I look forward to trying something new again.

A unique culinary experience. I've been looking forward to visiting here for a few months since I heard about J Gumbo. You can try everything BEFORE you order. Staff know about food and can explain what things are and provide meaningful descriptions what is to be expected. They don't say it well. They tell you what flavors, textures and heat a dish has. Authentic taste, made accessible.

A small taste of nawlins, here in Kalamazoo! Love you Crawfish Gumbo, sweet corn bread and red beans! This food will let your tongue tear your forehead!

Came here with my parents today. Fantastic service, fast, and honestly great prices for what you get. The food is awesome! I got the Crawfish Etouffe. It was the first time I had ever had it, and it's flavorful and very filling.
