Oakwood Bistro - Kalamazoo

I recently had the best fish and chips here! They were always hot and fresh, and the service was very pleasant. I would give this place a perfect 10/10 rating!

Consistently amazing food and service at this restaurant. Tonight, I had the Caesar salad as an appetizer and it was one of the best I've had in a long time. The dressing and toppings were just right - a must-try for Caesar salad lovers. For my main dish, I had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and it was delightful. The chicken was perfectly crispy and seasoned, and the pickles and pretzel roll added to the amazing sandwich. The staff were wonderful and the atmosphere had a pub-like feel.

I enjoyed our visit to the restaurant, but I was not impressed with the French dip sandwich. It had too much fat, making it difficult to eat. However, after giving it a second try and also trying the pizza and Caesar salad, we were very impressed. Overall, I have upgraded my rating from 3 to 4 stars.

Looks ordinary, but the service is extraordinary!! They usual have every nice specials. Reasonable prices. Food is above average to really good but not quite 3 michigan stars (also not priced that much either).

Food good service good but drink was on menu for 8 dollars, ordered on the rocks and was charged 12 dollars, when asked, was told because was on the rocks.. Ice was not worth 4 dollars. Just so sad.
