After I got my drink and hired my order, my server disappeared completely. I understand that this was the busiest time of the day for the business, but my father had to scream over the dining room for a hot soße (and when he got his hot soße, it was an off-brand of franc’s anyway. eating looked pretty good as soon as it arrived. I had chickens and wails as skillful. there was a bed of hash-browns and bacon bits, a layer of chickens and waffle-chunks, and then my touch up. what seemed to be quite appetizing, turned out to be a badly constructed plate. the eggs were in order, but not the fluffy quality I usually expect when ordering a touch. below the only chicken strip they used was clearly reheated. I could not say whether it was frozen tyson huh, or if it was made one night or two before. still I was quite annoyed by the texture. if they don't have the opportunity to make a meal fresh, don't serve! the underlying pieces of wicker were already coated in sugar that destroyed the texture. the sweet felt also with the economical components around them out of place. hash browns on the bottom were quite soggy, and not very warm when I came to them (I eat quite fast, it was only about 3-4 minutes after the plate had made her away to the table.) not to mention the sugar crystals in the kartoffels that leave a lot of sweet. in that I would bet that there were more sugar in the potatoes than salt. instead of toast, I had ordered a lemon-hardened blue berry pancake that was actually in order. nothing to write at home, but it was at least well thought out. my sister and my father had similar experiences with there, but since I didn't eat them, I can't quite criticize them. the worst part was the bill. it was $47 for 3 people to eat breakfast, before drinking money! we didn't order anything that was particularly expensive to do. overall we had my teller, the omelet of my father and my sister pancakes with a side hathbrown. my father and I have turned off our toast for the pancakes, which rose our total by $5, but it was still extraordinarily high. at the end it was a bad experience. I don't think my family will ever come back to roxie. I just wish I read the reviews before we stopped, I could never have come to a restaurant that admits using skillfully pinned bark. I find the prices charged for the service very disrespectful, and limit line immortal. I advise everyone to think twice about the choice of roxie if they want a good breakfast.
We tried Roxie’s this past weekend and it was a win! Had the friendliest staff greeting, great food, and our waitress was FANTASTIC!!! Thank you Stephanie!
My son is a picky eater. But the mickey mouse pancake made him smile and he says its the best restaurant hes eaten at in kalamazoo. A new family must for our household of two. Im satisfied with my biscuits and gravy.
Upon arrival this morning we were told it was a 30-35 minute wait. Only 4 people left then we were seated. There was 8 empty cleaned tables to sit at After waiting for another half hour our food came out cold. It didn’t look like my precooked sausage patty ever touched the grill. The corned beef hash from a can was $5.25 for a tiny side. Why use canned corned beef hash when you make your own corned beef in house? Definitely will not be back.
We went there when it was Michelle's and we love it even more now that it's Roxie's....great food, great service, great atmosphere!!!
