Flamingo Marari - Restaurant - Kalavoor

Very clean premises, good food, nice rooms, courteous and helpful staff are just some of the highlights of this amazing place! They have a swimming pool but the cherry on the top for me was definitely the canoeing experience. That is something you cant get anywhere else! Also its proximity to the beach means you can easily plan to go to the beach in the morning or for the sunset.

A special experience was the stay at this boutique hotel. the erbe element adds much aesthetic and beauty to this being. the rooms are very well maintained, with the beautiful bathrooms in any case the highlight! the staff was friendly and helpful and made our stay very pleasant. the food was also pleasant. if they stay in this hotel, do not miss the canoe experience it offers. at the end I would recommend 100% of this hotel.

It was a really good experience for me and my family. the hotel staff are well-located and willing to support us in our inquiries. the beach is a few meters from there, but nevertheless they offer them a kanu to reach the boat or a bike to drive through the small road that leads to the beach. will definitely become a flamingo for the next holiday!

I made an online reservation after going through the reviews online. A special mention to the way the property contacted me thereafter to check if they could assist me in any manner possible. This place is an old ancestral house converted to a stay with modern amenities but without losing its charm. Only 4 rooms altogether with 2 facing the pool and 2 facing the road. I would suggest to go for the pool facing rooms to enjoy the stay. Pool was clean and nice. One can use their canoe to ride to the nearby beach if you wish to do so. Food was excellent. You can have it in the dining area next to your room or in the isolated hut adjacent to the channel. Owner and family stay next to this and takes good care of the property. Rahul & Varun have been courteous hosts and I am really thankful to them for helping me as was suffering from an illness i had before reaching this place. I would defenitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Marari just for their hospitality.

We ate a late lunch today at Flamingo, a four bedroom homestay with lovely garden and pool. The food was delicious and freshly cooked. The menu is reasonably extensive, with mainly southern Indian dishes but also one or two western things for our fussy kids :-) They only have a few tables so book if possible, and the food takes a while so come with time to spare to relax and wait in their lovely garden, which sits on the banks of a small river leading out to the ocean.The homestay owner and his son, and indeed all the staff, were very relaxed, welcoming and interested to chat and get to know their guests, which added to the lovely experience. We are going back tomorrow!
