The cioppino here is crazy good! Pesto was out of this world and service was fantastic- one of my favorite Italian spots!

I can here for dine LA. After seeing the pictures, I was quite excited. It looked like a lovely little hole in the wall that would have authentic food. Unfortunately the food was just average. I got the carbonara and, other than the prices of cured pork, it was near flavorless, which is an impressive accomplishment considering. It's supposed to have cured meat, parmigiana cheese, and Romano, which all have strong flavor. My friend had the bolognese, which was nice, but also basic-just a meat sauce. As for the service, it was as basic as you can do. You'd think there would be more family feel ad I think the owner was there, but it felt very transactional. No banter, and no refilling water or picking up dishes (other than when asked).

Italian is one of my favorite cuisines and I'll eat as often as I can. Colori is one of my go to Italian restaurants. It's not a fancy place, it has more of a mom and pop feel to the place and that is what makes this place great. Their food taste as if they have an old Italian Grandma of Grandpa in the kitchen cooking up their secret family recipes. Couple dishes I love are the lasagna and the spaghetti carbonara. As for their deserts, their cheesecake is sooooo damn good. They're working on getting a liquor license but in mean time you can bring your own bottle of wine...that is when they're allowed to serve people indoors.

I had been holding off writing this review as I am a bit conflicted. I was very excited to try this place, especially how packed it gets at the restaurant. Fortunately, the hostess was able to get us a table for two despite being busy. We had to start the bruschetta. I really enjoyed the freshness of the tomatoes, but I felt the dish was a bit too drenched in oil. We then had spaghetti carbonara and spaghetti alle vongole. Both dishes were just okay in overall taste. The alle vongole has quite a bit of clams and a nice taste, but the sauce itself is not thick, a more watery texture and does not hold well to the spaghetti. The spaghetti for both tasted like they were dry box pasta and not freshly made (not sure if the restaurant advertises as having fresh pasta). Overall, food experience was okay; price point is decent . The staff though is very kind.

Came here on a Saturday night with friends. Would recommend getting a reservation cause the place is on the smaller side. Had the Spaghetti with pesto chicken topped with cheese. The prices are reasonable and the food was good. Servers were friendly and attentive with our needs and water refills.
