They raised their prices again and it's too expensive for many of the dishes. It's not that type of restaurant to pay an average of $40 a person for your meal and a drink! We used to go all the time but now it's a treat to go because of the cost.
We went for Mothers Day brunch, sat outside on the patio, and had a wonderful time. I love that you can bring your dog. The brunch was excellent and the service was great. Everyone was on top of everything. This is one of my favorite go-to's for a great, healthy, outdoor dining experience. Hugo's never disappoints.
Hugo's has a wonderful staff, who are always very accommodating to one's individual needs. Their menu is varied and excellent. And it's lovely that they have outdoor seating, as well. A neighborhood favorite!
Sat on patio. Service was very very slow. Coffee was like lukewarm water. UPDATE—Received a private message from Molly at Hugo's. Very apologetic and receptive to my comments. She very kindly offered me a gift certificate to return to Hugo's. I thought this to be very nice of her. I never received anything from Molly/Hugo's. Oh well, there are other places to eat. Too bad!
Hugo's is the go two for healthy eating hippy types. It's set up like a very traditional diner. Nothing special about the decor. Its the food and service that set this place apart. Beautiful custom blend teas. Low processed ingredients. Menu full of traditional dishes like pot roast but made in a more diet friendly way. Also plenty of vegan options. Essentially the libertard Dennys (I'm one including long hair in a bun so its said with love) prices are shockingly reasonable rarely exceeding $30 and the menu is HUGE. Breakfast , Lunch and dinner options. Also service tends to lean towards young. hip and cool ? (If your into that type of thing) Parking: Limited parking in a lot behind the resteraunt.
