Came here a little while back and although food was pretty good I probably won 't come here again. 2 people were pretty rude and even seemed to be laughing. They just stare at you and expect you to know when you 're they 're ready to assist you, not even a greeting, and to know what you want already. When I asked what was the most popular they just gave me a short boring answer. Finally when it was time to pay I wanted to pay card and didn 't see cash only so the guy just say cash only in a rude way and taps on the window where it says it. Horrible customer service is what 's gonna keep this truck from growing.
I got a guamuchilito roll, the meat in it was dry, not fresh. Was not worth $17 to receive a roll that had beef jerky rubbery meat. The size of the roll is pretty big but the meat was not fresh. I was disappointed. They often are not there and close early. The cashier was rude. Will I try them again? Not sure, due to rubber tasting meat. The jaiva was good, just the over cooked old meat in my roll was not worth it.
There are a couple things that Sinaloa is well known for, Tacos el Gobernador y Aguachile and this truck FAILED miserably on one of them. I have a couple issues with this truck, let's start with posted prices that's don't match with what's charged for the Ceviche Tacos el Gobernador, menu has them at $4.00, but does not say they are sold in 3's, so one order is 3X$4 $12.00) Your traditional Taco el Gobernador is a corn tortilla generally lightly crisp to crisp and filled with grilled Shrimp chopped in pieces, some sort of melt-able shredded cheese like Oaxaca, Chihuahua or Jack, various chopped onions, peppers and chilis often grilled in some butter. I have many issues with these tacos it was pretty much all peppers, I struggled to find shrimp, even the cheese was limited, OH, but it gets worse. The tortillas didn't spend much time on the grill, so whatever this mixture of peppers has the tortillas were WET the tacos were a soggy mess, #youfail Zero-Stars Ceviche de Camaron $15 per menu) $16.00 actually charged) Plenty of chopped Shrimp, Purple Onion, Cliantro, Tomato, Pepino y sliced Avocado. I must say FANTASTIC, fresh ingredients done to perfection 5-Stars OH, wait..... you don't serve Toastads or Chips with your Ceviche? Or did you fail to give them to me? 4-Stars Great Menu Selection, I may return at some point to check out the Sushi, but I still say Mariscos El Faro is BEST Mariscos in NELA!
