They do something to these potatoes! They taste pre marinated and then cooked. Amazingly flavorful. The unboring potato side to end all potato sides. The other hits are the sizzling feta and the grilled octopus, and the fresh backed pita.. It's all amazing here! Also do yourself a favor and get a glass (or two! of the special white retsina wine that is really gonna tie it altogether! Very uniquely flavored. Other must have goods to take home from their deli: Greek yogurt with fruit preserves; and the chocolate Halva!... I also thoroughly enjoyed the visual ambiance of the place don't miss the very charming retro mural on the wall leading to the parking lot. Is it me or do all those women look the same?.. Is this based on real life daughters or wives of the Cristo dynasty?.. Anyhoo, this place is a delight to visit and eat your way through!
Great place. Good portions and excellent great food. Try the lamb and the Greek salad.
I googled “best Gyro in LA” and Papa Cristo’s was at the top of the list….Probably the best Greek food I’ve ever had…Will definitely go back there real soon!…Highly recommend!
I love the market and restaurant mix and the patio is great. I have been to Papa Cristo's a handful of time and I have not had one bad experience. Papa Cristo is very welcoming and the hospitality is just great.
Authentic Greek food. We usually get gyro sandwiches and the rack of lamb plate. Both are delicious. We don't stray from these two because we enjoy both so much. On Thursday nights, they have a Big Fat Greek Family-Style Dinner where you can try different Greek food and enjoy the belly dancing. You need to make reservations for the Thursday night dinner, though. There is also a market where you can buy Greek and Mediterranean canned foods and wine, Greek cheeses, meat deli, and bakery.
