There are long lines everywhere except the live crab/lobster tank area (the most expensive station of all). Also, there is a brutal staffing shortage. One server for the main center bar area? Two clerks at the busiest station (fresh fish case)? Lots of hype surrounds this place due to YouTube reviewers, but it's mostly hype. It was a one time experience, but I wouldn't bother going back unless they address their lack of personnel and customer service.
Fish Market COULDVE BEEN BETTER on a few things, one major one is price, for $10 not bad for fish burger, but it was tilapia, and heavily fried w no option to grill (which I prefer). Also the coleslaw, fry, rice option isn't much to go on... let alone make you want to return for soggy slaw... (lighten up on mayo. Burger was overall good, nothing you remember it for, I think marketing did a good job to hype up the place like that of a RAVE. Problem is the place took SO LONG IN LINE! Only 15 people or so took over 30 mins! I had anxiety just waiting so will you with nothing to do but stare at the woodwork or your iphone 13 mini. Eventually you get to order food, and the other options like shrimp seem so-so, even the ideal shrimp platter is overhyped and expensive at $60 to feed 2?! really not worth it and it seems like a lot of bread is pilled on top to make it feel much bigger then it is. Location is superb with it overlooking the bay, cool for a date! that is all i recommend and the other eateries are the same kind of food, if you want to get wholesale its expensive too and might as well try seafood places around redondo, hermosa like CHART HOUSE, or QUALITY SEAFOOD is much better and competitive pricing, they even have a great happy hour. Go elsewhere save $60 for two people unless you like an overcrowded venue that can't handle a going quick enough to take orders from hungry people???? hmmm...
Man this place is great! Especially going with the whole family. Just get there early cuz, DAMN! If you don't get there at the right time it can get a little frustrating. Make sure to bring your own chili, lemons, and drinks cuz it can sure get pricey for those little things I just mentioned.
Hoping this is the right location. I typically stop by the OG location right off the water in Long beach. It's a great location for all. I've stopped by on a date, with friends and even bring my kids along. They host Mariachi's regularly and offer ginormous beers. I'm talking a cup you can pour 6 Modelo's in. I had to give it a try, it was amazing and yes I survived. Sometimes the vibe is a little more rowdy than others but overall I haven't had any issues. The menu is huge there's a ton to choose from. Sometimes the lines are a little crazy, but always worth it. We drive about 1.5hrs to get here so if that's not proof of how legit the spot is I don't know what is. The foods delicious, location is great and beer is unmatched. My kids opted to skip a cake this year and put in a request for a lobster from San Pedro Fish Market instead.
Went here on a Monday, with my co workers for another get together hang out.. I live so close to San Pedro and I can't believe I have never been here. The atmosphere is great. Big outside bench seating with the view of Vincent Thomas bridge and the ocean. However, this place is a tourist trap attraction. It is a bit pricey but you do get what you pay for. There were 12 of us, and the food kept on coming and coming. The holy grail was the fish. One of my co worker ordered three whole fish, which looked amazingly good.. But, do be prepared to get your hands dirty though...
