Nice spot to spend time while waiting for restaurants. Ordered the black sugar taro milk. I love how their Taro is as toppings not actual flavors. The latest hello kitty collab is cute.

Visited after noon on a Tuesday. Sign says they’re open, but the door was locked and no one was at the counter. Employee entrance was unlocked, though, but it seemed like no one was there.Kinda disappointing :

D i a b e e t u s i n t e n s i f i e s Location: Chapman Plaza in KTown, in a spot that used to be a dessert shop called Snow Monster. Lots of good eateries here but bad onsite parking. Finding a nearby spot on the street was difficult on a Friday evening. Atmosphere: Modern interior with limited space and seating. There's a decent amount of outdoor tables and umbrellas. Menu: Black Sugar Milk series, tea lattes, fruit drinks, matcha series, espressos, basic teas, and other signature options. Ice adjustments can be made, but there are some items that have fixed sugar levels. They offer both regular size boba and smaller size pearls. Toppings are an additional seventy five cents, except for menu items that already have boba included. The two dairy alternatives here are oat milk and soy milk. For snacks they sell their black sugar popcorn and egg rolls. I've seen their boba ice cream bars too but not recently. The Drink: Black Sugar Boba Milk with less ice. It was creamy but sickly sweet. I liked that the boba had a nice caramelized brown sugar flavor to it. Texture wise though, overcooked and soft. Still too much ice left over after finishing it. Verdict: One and done, no desire to come back here.

Tiger sugar never fails to disappoint with their brown sugar products. My favorite is the brown sugar fresh milk with boba which has a rich brown sugar flavor. This shop is best for those who enjoy that flavor/style as most drinks are based around it. The pearls are always good. I would caution less sweet just because it dilutes out the brown sugar so you lose a little bit of the flavor depth. Staff is friendly and prompt, shop has a few seats inside. Definitely one of my favorites!
