We spent 5 night in Kamikatsu learning about the zero waste initiative. Three mornings 5 of us had breakfast at the cafe. We found the service to be impeccable and polite. The breakfast was beautifully served and delicious, particularly the homemade jams from seasonal fruits. The ingredients are locally sourced which added to the taste. The ambiance is peaceful and artistic.
The place has a wonderful atmosphere and pleasing staff. The iced coffee with ice cream is perfect to partner with scones or cheesecake. I loved how they support local farmers and making efforts in zero waste business mindfulness.
Fantastic. Lunch was delicious and focus on environment with everything they do was inspirational. What a surprise!
We stopped by for lunch at Cafe Polestar. It was a bit of a mixed bag. Some parts of the lunch were delicious and some ingredients were on the level of a supermarket (ham especially). Some lunch sets also felt slightly too pricey for the amount of food. Same with the deserts and scones. The interior was pleasant and generally if the amount of food was a bit bigger or price just a tad lower, I’d definitely give it more stars.
