Ooh Kabsa - Kamloops

I would give this restaurant 5 stars for its fantastic experience and ambiance. I particularly loved the unique feature of floor seating and appreciated the complimentary coffee.

I took a while to try this restaurant as my 6 yr old son is picky and I didn't think he would enjoy the food. He was intrigued by the name and wanted to try it for that reason. My husband and I were happy that he was willing to try something different so we took advantage of his curiosity. I was very surprised to see that they had a children's menu that had a choice of burger, falafel or kebab with fries, apples and a drink. The adult menus had a variety of appetizers, wraps and mains. My husband and I had the Chicken Shawarma with fries. My son had the burger and fries. The fries were very well seasoned and the shawarma was fantastic. It could have had a little more chicken but was very good. My son's burger was excellent. I went back for a second visit today and had the falafel platter. It was amazing. The falafel was incredibly flavourful and was served with pita bread, hummous, tahini, pickled radishes, fries and a fresh salad of tomatoes, pickles and lettuce. That was a dish that I will be coming back for frequently and at $9.95 it was extremely well priced. This is a great addition to the Kamloops restaurant scene.

I have eaten here 3 or 4 times and each time it was very good,. The different cuisine from Iran is very tasty and flavourful. The Lamb dishes were exceptional. I would not hesitate to eat there at any time or bring a new guest to try their cuisine.

Two visits, two very good meals. only one or two other tables each time, I hope this place has a brisk take out business from the Uni!! Extremely nice staff, great recommendations. Very tasty.

Yesterday, my wife and I had business in Kamloops , in the morning when we arrived we were so starving so I followed recommendation on Trip Advisor. We wanted to try something new so we chose a Middle-eastern restaurant. The girl who met us was so friendly and nice, she explained us almost each item on the menu. She also helped us to look for our son while we were eating and relaxing!My Shawarma Plate was quite big and so delicious.My wife also loved her falafel plate and baklava with Arabic coffee were on the TOP! A great place and service, would like to return and try one of the many other unique dishes!
